Student Intern Brings Hearty Work Ethic, Talent, and Quick Brain to Studio
A former photography student from Caldwell Academy in Greensboro joined the team this summer and quickly became a "do all" asset for our Studio. Marie Streng was a student in Natalie Carter Hyde's Photography Class this past year. Her interest and dedication in class lead to a summer program with our Greensboro Studio.
Working only three days a week, Marie has tackled
- client email correspondence and phone follow up
- photographed/edited a family session for a Christmas card (with Mrs. Hyde)
- assisted with "Hero Product Shots" for Home Secret Textiles
- learned how to invoice clients
- initial selection and editing of a wedding reception
- photographed and edited a client session
- added client emails to the database
- Created different photo albums and learned the layout process
Marie is a rising sophomore at Caldwell Academy. She was born and raised in Greensboro and has a younger sister. She is on the track team at Caldwell; track is her favorite sport. She also plays volleyball. In her free time, she loves to read, spend time with friends, and take pictures.
This past year she discovered photography as an elective class at Caldwell, taught by Natalie Hyde. Throughout the year she grew in her knowledge of photography and in the second semester, was invited to assist AIP's documentation of the AHA Heart Ball and FSP's Greensboro Oyster Roast.
